Kristi Noem Slams South Park After Episode Mocks Her Appearance: ‘It’s Just Lazy’

Anyone who’s watched South Park knows the show has a long history of not just testing boundaries but often completely ignoring them. It thrives on shock value and satire, often poking fun at real-life events and public figures without hesitation.

Part of its appeal is that no person or topic is off-limits. The writers frequently pull inspiration straight from the news cycle, turning current events into exaggerated, often outrageous storylines.

And with so much happening in the United States right now, the show has no shortage of material to work with.

The most recent episode, which focused on the ongoing ICE raids, has stirred up plenty of conversation online and off.

In the episode’s secondary storyline, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is portrayed in a bizarre and extreme light — repeatedly killing puppies while a makeup crew rushes to keep her face from drooping on camera.

This wild depiction draws from two actual points in Noem’s public life: her autobiography, where she described shooting a dog in anger and seemed to think it reflected positively on her, and her highly publicized “MAGA makeover.”.

The animated chaos ramps up when the fictional Noem kills Krypto, Superman’s dog, before the gag carries all the way into the end credits.

In the final moments, she’s shown walking into a pet store with a rifle, and the sounds of multiple gunshots are heard.

Noem has clearly seen the episode, and it’s safe to say she’s not amused by it.

In an interview with CNN, Noem didn’t argue with the absurd premise of the scene, but she took issue with what she considers an overused and sexist jab at her appearance.

“It’s so lazy, it constantly makes fun of women for how they look. Only the liberals and the extremists do that.” Noem told the network during a call-in segment.

“If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t. They just pick something petty like that.”

As of now, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone haven’t responded — and if history is any guide, they likely won’t. The pair are known for brushing off backlash without much concern.

The episode also targeted conservative figure Charlie Kirk and included a strange twist involving Dora the Explorer being trafficked to “Mar-a-Lago Island”.

The storyline kicks off with school counselor Mr. Mackey losing his job, which leads him to join the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency. His first mission? Participating in a raid on the set of Dora the Explorer.

Mackey’s dramatic and overblown “success” during the raid earns him a “reward” — a trip to Mar-a-Lago.

But instead of relaxing with golf and sunshine, Mackey’s “reward” turns into a bizarre proposition — a threesome with Satan and Donald Trump, complete with references to the former president’s rumored ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

In another surreal moment, Dora is reimagined as a “masseuse” at the resort, caught in a disturbing scenario before managing to make her escape.

For anyone curious enough to see how it all plays out, the episode is streaming now on Paramount+.
