Elon Musk’s Daughter Shares Blunt Message After Severing Ties With Billionaire Dad Who Claimed She Was Dead

Elon Musk’s daughter has spoken out with a frank and personal message after publicly cutting ties with her billionaire father, who once went as far as to claim she was dead.

Vivian Wilson’s relationship with Musk collapsed after she transitioned, marking a clear divide between them that has only grown over the years.

Before their estrangement, Wilson had attended a private school in Bel-Air. She was later moved to Ad Astra, the alternative school Musk created for SpaceX employees’ children, because he disagreed with the teaching methods at her previous school.

At Ad Astra, students didn’t receive traditional grades and most of the focus was placed on STEM-based classes. Later, Wilson transferred to Crossroads in Santa Monica, where she eventually graduated alongside many so-called “nepo babies.”

In her interview with The Cut, Wilson recalled: “I was not popular, I didn’t talk to anyone.”

Wilson came out as transgender when she was 16 years old. By the time she turned 18 in 2022, her relationship with Musk had unraveled even further, reaching a point of no return.

After reaching adulthood, Wilson filed a legal petition to change both her name and her gender. In doing so, she made her stance on Musk crystal clear.

In her request to the judge, she wrote: “I no longer live or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form.”

Meanwhile, Musk—while aligning himself with Donald Trump and other MAGA Republicans—claimed his daughter had been “killed by the woke mind virus.” Wilson quickly clapped back on social media, reminding the world she was very much alive.

These days, Wilson is living in Los Angeles without financial help from her father, despite his immense wealth.

In her own words, she explained: “College is expensive, I don’t have that inheritance. People assume I have a lot of money. I don’t have hundreds and thousands of dollars at my disposal.”

She is Musk’s eldest child out of 14, but unlike her father, she has no interest in becoming “super rich.” Instead, she shares an apartment with three roommates because the arrangement is far more affordable.

Wilson admits she is still better off than many young people in Los Angeles, recognizing her situation as fortunate compared to others her age.

Speaking with The Cut, she reflected: “I don’t have any desire to be super rich. I can afford food. I have friends, a shelter and expandable income, which is nice and much more fortunate than most people my age in Los Angeles.”

Even so, she says money continues to be a concern, and she does what she can to budget and save wherever possible.

She also commented on her family background, saying: “My mom is rich right? But obviously the other one (Musk) is unimaginable degrees of wealthy.”

Musk himself is currently estimated to have a net worth of around $413 billion, making her decision to live modestly stand out even more.

Looking ahead, Wilson is planning to enroll at a community college in the coming months. She hopes to continue her language studies, after previously leaving her Japanese program in Japan unfinished.
